1. Goods will be invoiced at the prices ruling at time and date of dispatch. VAT will be charged on the invoices. Unless stipulated, no VAT will appear on your invoice, should the purchase be destined for cross-border sale.
  2. All prices exclude V.A.T. and hold firm for 30 days from date hereof.
  3. We guarantee our joinery to be manufactured from high grade materials, of excellent craftmanship and suitable for normal climatic conditions, i.e. no excessive heat, humidity, dryness or direct sunlight.
  4. The timber of choice is Meranti which may swell and shrink depending on exposure to the elements (direct sunlight, rain, wind and abuse)
  5. Timber is a natural product subject to variation in humidity and temperature. Whilst we take great care to ensure that the timber used for the purpose for which it is intended, it is obvious we cannot be acquainted with the environment where our products will be installed.
  6. Installation instructions need to be adhered to at all times, failure to do so, will nullify any claim against warp, twist or bow.
  7. Any products altered or damaged which are from our standard range will not be accepted back for credit. A 10% handling fee will be charged on returns, the amount will be held as a credit for future purchases and not be refunded.
  8. Subject to the above, if any material defect manifests itself in any product we will, at our discretion, either replace or repair such product within 6 months of date of invoice.
  9. Quotations are made in good faith in anticipating the forward delivery to us of materials by our suppliers, especially imported materials and our ability to supply in the event of an order being awarded to us depends on the stock availability at the date the order is received.
  10. No responsibility is accepted for the delay caused due to war, force majeure, strikes, disputes, accidents to workman, or any other circumstances beyond our control, which may interfere with the production and delivery of goods.
  11. Cancellation of orders will only be accepted by arrangement with management and will hold a 10% handling fee if a stock item in Meranti, any other material or non-stock item will be invoiced for immediate payment.
  12. Shortage and Breakages - customers should notify management at time of delivery on shortages or damaged goods, failure to do so will result in a rejection of claim.
  13. Doors above 2100mm will only be guaranteed against warp, twist or bow in line with the (SABS 545) specifications manual, 3rd edition of 1989. Should installation instructions not have been followed; a limited claim will be entertained in the case of materials defects only.
  14. The goods remain the property of AC Doors until paid in full.
  15. Terms of payment: - 50% deposit against order with the balance on completion prior to delivery. In the case of part deliveries a proportional sum will be retained as a deposit on all outstanding items. The company reserves the right to vary these conditions at its own discretion.
  16. We shall not be responsible for any incidental work or expenses arising out of or due to any defect in our products, and our liability shall in no instance exceed the original purchase price of the product.
  17. AC Doors sliding folding units are manufactured using superior sliding folding gear, the outer framework is assembled as a complete unit with track and guide channel fitted on site by others.
  18. It is the responsibilities of the client and or Architect to furnish AC Doors with the correct information prior to the manufacture of any product made by AC Doors. This applies to final measurements, drawings and specifications. AC Doors will where it can assist in this regard, but bears no responsibility for the final product.
  19. AC Doors will not be held liable for defects caused by any third party; whether expressed or implied – in the case of providing the services of a contractor for the purpose of installation, glazing or decoration.
